Yellowstone. What a sight. As I write this, I'm looking out my window, watching the pink sunset highlight the darkening mountains. The geysers in front, creating a smokey trail into the sky. Twisting, floating, high and away. We are staying at Old Faithful Inn (my mom arrived yesterday) and walked around the famed geyser this evening. The people walking around it at dusk look other-worldly. Almost like they're walking on the moon, floating on the planks near the phenomena. Ethereal and unreal. The smoke stacks (geysers) speak to an ancient time of mysticism and wonder. Spirit and mist rising from the earth. Something that still resonates deeply within us today.
The drive through Yellowstone was pretty but the most beautiful part was the drive in through Shoshone National Forest in the North Eastern corner. The mountain tops were never ending and snow capped. Majestic in all their glory. Undisturbed, preserved for all eternity for by the laws of this great land.
There is so much to discover within Yellowstone it's hard to grasp the magnitude of one of our biggest National Parks (and the oldest.) We saw bison, elks, bear cubs.
For all the families and travelers through Yellowstone, I wish them love and happiness - the Rising and Coming Buddhas that they are. Let me laugh.
